and originally from the UK.
I am loving the experience of what Creek Kindy has to offer to the children and see the wonder and curiosity in their learning.
Hello, my name is Vanessa and I am the Director at Wynnum Manly Kindy. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services and have worked across all facets of Early Childhood since 1996, including working in the UK.
I’ve been at Wynnum Manly Kindy since 2021 and love meeting all the children and parents. When I’m not crunching numbers and sending out emails, you might find me in the rooms chatting to the children and talking about the wonderful things they are learning at Kindy.
At home in gorgeous bayside Brisbane, I love spending time with my family exploring all the beaches along the coastline.

Hi, I am Carolyn the Kindergarten teacher for the Kookaburra class and I started working at Wynnum Manly Kindergarten in 2022 and love being part of this wonderful community! I hold a Bachelor in Primary Education and a Diploma in Early Childhood and I have been working as a Early Childhood Teacher for the last ten years. I am passionate in providing a play based program and creating experiences and environments that foster curiosity, imagination and fun. I view children as competent and capable learners and I aim to engage the interests and strengths of each individual child.
I am originally from the UK and came to Australia on a working holiday visa and never left! I love spending time with my family which consists of my husband and my two young children and I also like to travel and go to the beach.

I have been working in the Early Childhood setting for the last 5 years and after working in retail management for a long time, and have enjoyed the challenges and all the rewards of working with young children.
I love what I do and enjoy creating engaging play spaces and provocations to inspire the curious child.
I am interested in nature play and facilitating the Creek program.
My outside interests are spending time with my family and traveling.

Hi my name is Vanessa and I joined Wynnum Manly community kindy in 2020 after working in a relief/ inclusion support capacity for a term. This wonderful kindy community has been the breath of fresh air I have been looking for after working in the Early Childhood Education field since 1993. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Community Services (Children’s Services) and have been privileged to manage three long day care centres during my career. I have always had a passion for child directed education and feel all children learn best when they are interested, engaged and feel a sense of autonomy in regards to how they choose to learn.I have a husband and 2 boys who keep me very busy, but in my spare time I love to garden as well as watching my oldest boy’s extreme sport pursuits and my youngest boy’s art creation.

I have a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) and a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) and I have commenced my teaching career at Wynnum Manly Community Kindergarten. I have been working with children for 5 years and after completing my qualifications found the Kindergarten role to be the most rewarding.
Hello my name is Linda. I have been working with children for 26 years. My husband Matthew and I were lucky enough to move to Manly in 2000 and bring up our son and daughter in the area. I started my career working as a Family Daycare Educator then moving to a teacher aide while I studied my Bachelor in Children’s Services. I later moving into long daycare and the joy of Kindergarten teaching. Most recently I have been working as a Co-ordinator supporting Family Daycare Educators.
I have a real love of the Early Years as it is wonderful to see how children develop and grow before they start school.
When I am not working I enjoy walking down our beautiful Esplanade, trips to the beach and travelling.
Hi, I’m Caitlin. As a parent with two children at Wynnum Manly Community Kindy, I feel strongly connected to our community. My background is in primary teaching, and now in my administration role I’m grateful to support a team that provides such a warm, nurturing environment for every child.
